Affluence has landed two of his last five starts - his only wins in 27 starts - so it looks like he's on the improve. He's now 11lb higher though than when gaining the first of those wins and MELABI may have his measure in receipt of 15lb on the back of a good and slightly unfortunate effort when narrowly denied at Musselburgh. His chance is strengthened by the additional 7lb claimed by Kieran Schofield. Becky Sharp stuck on well to score with something to spare here last month and enters calculations on that evidence whilst Sauchiehall Street should appreciate the drop in trip and course and distance winner Albert Boy appeals as the best each-way option.
