Tollbrae, Venn Ottery and Garde Bien are all from leading yards and they look capable of fighting out the finish, but we will put forward the latter as the one to beat. This gelding from the Ferdy Murphy yard was pulled-up in a similar event to this last behind Wuxi Venture, but he had previous shown ability when second to Ocean Dancer at Doncaster and as he is still open to plenty of improvement he is taken to score. Tollbrae ran a fair race when fourth behind Buckby Lane at Cheltenham and he loves the soft ground. He certainly has ability and plenty of heart so will not be far away. Venn Ottery has been out of sorts of late but might have place prospects if he can reproduce the pick of his form, while Amplifi has the services of Richard Johnson and is another that is not out of it. This looks fairly competitive but Garde Bien has a progressive profile and could be capable of building on his earlier promise to score.
