Breath Caught showed the benefit of his opening run at Chepstow, where he started favourite, to finish runner-up to the odds-on Bathsheba Bay at Sandown and should make further progress. George Villiers came in for plenty of support on his debut on the latter track in June but looked in need of experience, though he wasn't beaten far. The front pair have done nothing to enhance the form so PRIME MINISTER looks a more likely winner. Ed Vaughan's colt made a very encouraging debut behind the well-supported Imperial Past in what looked a strong Yarmouth maiden last month and can go one better. Compulsive looked a likely improver at Kempton while Simon Crisford's New Approach colt Ostilio is a newcomer to note.
