Von Blucher was engaged at Musselburgh yesterday but if coming here would have to be considered on his second in a Redcar Listed race last time. Via Via won a Newmarket handicap a year ago and reappeared to complete a double at Newcastle so the lack of a recent run shouldn't pose too much of a problem. London was well suited by heavy ground at Epsom and gained a comfortable victory so any further rain would aid his cause but RENE MATHIS was unsuited by heavy conditions at Haydock having beaten Custom Cut on very fast going off levels at Thirsk and looks well in on that form. War Glory has been running well enough without quite getting there while it's almost a year since Emmaus made a successful debut here before a very fair run in a Listed race in France. John Gosden doesn't have many at the bottom of a handicap so Yarmouth winner Hyde Park is one to note.
