More Time can defy topweight in the nursery, with Sounds Simla, Angus Newz, Tin And Lint and Noble Nova out to make sure that he does not have things all his own way. As we have stated in the past, following topweights during the first month of the nursery season is very profitable, with some big-priced winners emerging. Unfortunately, More Time will not be in double figures due to an eye-catching effort at Pontefract nine days ago, but he is still very backable. The son of Night Shift has edged to the top of the handicap here due to some solid efforts, including when failing by a neck to uphold our little system at Pontefract where he was kicked clear two furlongs out but was caught on the line by an improving animal in the shape of Mujood. Hopefully this time nothing will catch him and he gets the vote. Sounds Simla also boasts fair form but she did tire rapidly when asked a question at Windsor last time, and that does not augur well for her chance up this stiff finish. Angus Newz was successful in a Haydock claimer and has more to do although her trainer reckons that she is good enough to capture a small nursery at least. Tin And Lint nearly prevailed when coming from behind to figure on the Lingfield Polytrack last time, while Noble Nova hung her head at Folkestone and is dropped back in trip. They should all figure somewhere, but we are happy to side with More Time who can race off his old mark until Saturday.
