Equipe De Nuit should run his race whilst Indian Skipper has leading claims on the figures but it may be worth taking a chance with SOUL MURMUR. He's been off the track since making a disappointing debut for this yard at Wolverhampton in April but he had also disappointed when tried at Dundalk by his previous trainer John Oxx. His turf form last year is perfectly respectable in the context of this race and it may be worth taking a chance with him on his return to action although it has been a while since the yard enjoyed a winner. Equipe De Nuit struggled back in handicap company at Warwick but had been running well in similar contests to this prior to that and may be able to bounce back. Indian Skipper takes a marked drop in grade and has run well enough this season to merit respect in this company and the trip shouldn't pose any problems despite his recent form being over six. Sir George is another with claims on the figures and he should be considered, particularly if the market gives out the right signals, as connections tend to place their horses realistically and he's likely to be fit enough to do himself justice. Sir Ike, Markhesa, Well Of Echoes, Tina's Best and Cardinal are others worth a second look in an open race but we'll take a chance with Soul Murmur.
