With the Balding team yet to find their form this term, Big Note may be worth opposing and Luv U Forever may not have much scope after a busy if productive juvenile campaign, ACCESSION and Samminder look the pair to focus on, even though both were found wanting when upped in grade in the autumn, with the vote going to Clive Cox's charge. He has already shown he can perform to a decent level under these conditions when scoring in a Newbury maiden, after which he produced a respectable effort when a running-on fourth behind Gusto in Listed grade. Samminder ran well in defeat here when a close second to Meznaar before understandably finding life too demanding in the Middle Park Stakes. He will be a threat if handling the forecast ground conditions.
