pulled hard, made all, driven out
in touch, ridden 3f out, soon outpaced
chased winner, ridden over 2f out, beaten over 1f out, eased final furlong
This could be a one two for Mark Johnston, with Carwell just prefered to Winged Flight, Majuro looks booked for third. The selection made a very good impression when winning on her Thirsk debut. She did her job nicely and showed a willing attitude in the closing stages. With more improvement guaranteed she looks the one to be on. Winged Flight won his maiden at Yarmouth before being out-classed behind Big Timer at York. This is more his level and a big run can be expected. Majuro wasn't beaten far in a similar race to this at Kempton last time and should easily get the better of the only other runner Oedipus. So just a small turn out for this conditions event and Carwell can maintain here unbeaten record.
