If able to reproduce the form shown when third in last season's King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, Funny Valentine would win this easily. However, the Terry Mills-trained four-year-old has yet to race this term and it remains to be seen if the son of Cadeaux Genereux has trained on, of not and at forecast odds he is probably best watched. Both Damalis and Red Millennium are on long losing runs and, while Mizillablack holds claims on her best the filly is held on last time out running at Newmarket by Repertory. The Malcolm Saunders-trained nine-year-old is holding his form well at present, only going down by a length behind Dragon Flyer at Nottingham most recently, and the gelding gets the TEAMtalk vote to give weight away all round.
