tracked leaders, switched left over 2f out, soon ridden, ran on to lead post
led, ridden and headed over 1f out, kept on
prominent 2f, soon beaten
dwelt, soon mid-division, ridden and headway over 2f out, led over 1f out, soon hung right, headed post
in touch, ridden halfway, kept on same pace
tracked leaders, ridden and every chance final furlong, not quicken
slowly into stride, always towards rear,
always outpaced in rear
with leader, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
mid-division, ridden over 2f out, kept on, not trouble leaders
An intriguing maiden with a couple of newcomers, from high profile stables looking the part on breeding, likely to be too good for those with experience. Of those that have previously seen a racecourse Amanda Perrett's Cat Ona High showed improved form at Newmarket last time and should benefit from the step up to seven furlongs, while Paul Cole's Squire Michael would need to show a great deal more than on either of his previous outings at either Epsom or Chester. Finger Of Fate looks to be one of his stable's lesser lights and a better bet, and the TEAMtalk selection, could be his stablemate Musanid. Sir Michael Stoute has done pretty well with his juveniles first time out this term and this son of Swain looks the type to take a high rank, although he will undoubtedly be better over middle distances next term. David Loder's two-year-olds have been largely disappointing this season, particularly on their debuts, so Khanjar is probably best watched, while Paul Cole's Top Tenor, who is by Sadler's Wells, would want more rain.
