In depth

Verdict

Adekshan may prove the answer to the day's feature event at Leicester, with Little Good Bay, Crafty Calling and Into The Breeze not out of it either. Adekshan was beaten by the draw in the William Hill Mile at Goodwood but kept on well behind Lady Bear, and there was a lot to like about his earlier sixth to subsequent Stewards Cup winner Patavellian in the Bunbury Cup. the ground was fast on that occasions and Sir Michael Stoute's charge will face similar conditions here. Crafty Calling appears to be a bit high in the handicap at present but has been taking on good company, while Little Good Bay gained his first turf victory at Chester despite a bad draw and holds Willheconquertoo on that running. Into The Breeze made all at Redcar last time but will be susceptible to the finish of the selection as they hit the rising ground. Adekshan can come good with Kieren Fallon in the plate.
