Yakimov, Coustou and Adobe make for an interesting contesting, with the latter getting the vote. Adobe hails from the in-form yard of Mark Brisbourne and although well held at Thirsk last time, is capable of a big run under his regular pilot and with the fast conditions to suit. Coustou's stable have had a fine season but the three-year-old, the youngest in the line up, has yet to add to their tally. However, this is a drop in grade and the blinkers have been applied to keep his mind on the job. Paul Cole won this race 12 months ago with Nimello and now relies on Yakimov. His Beverley win came in soft ground and he may struggle under his big weight. However, this is a drop in class for him as well so he should play a part. Adobe, still capable at the age of eight, gets the nod.
