    Verdict

Day Care looks to hold an excellent chance here and gets the vote ahead of Orion Bell, Native American and Cleveland. The Amanda Perrett-trained selection showed plenty of promise on his sole run to date when second to Double Deputy at Goodwood last September. With the winner having gone on to score off a mark of 80 in a Doncaster handicap, the form looks solid and, in truth, he stands out today. Orion Bell should strip fitter, both physically and mentally, for his two runs to date, and will rarely find a better chance of getting in the frame, so he can go well for his in-form stable. Of the others, Native American cost a pretty penny but has not shown too much in two starts to date, both on the all-weather, Cleveland has something to like on breeding, while Jonanaud has won over hurdle but it would be disappointing if the selection, Day Care, was not far too quick for him.
