In depth

Verdict

Plenty to look at here with Venetia Williams' Adecco wearing the one jacket. He was a little disappointing in a Listed race at Wetherby after winning on debut over hurdles on a fast surface. He has form on a softer surface in Germany but his ability to handle truly heavy conditions has to be taken on trust. Briar was behind in that Wetherby contest but broke his duck at Folkestone last time out. He doesn't look the easiest of rides, but he is proven on the surface. Lewis Island drops in class after taking on Don Fernando at Cheltenham. Nigel Twiston-Davies' hurdlers seem in good form at the moment and it would be no surprise to see this son of Turtle Island go well on the ground. Moneytrain made too many mistakes at Haydock on his debut and is avoided. Bodfari Rose is given as the TEAMtalk selection. She belied her 25/1 odds on debut to finish third at Bangor on a similar surface with The Last Cast and Fortunate Dave only a couple of strides infront of her. If she reproduces anything like this, she should be capable of taking this affair.
