Now Look Here took advantage of the drop in class to get his head in front at Wolverhampton recently, beating the in-form Prima Stella, who had won two of her previous three outings. He obviously comes here in good form and doesn't look badly treated on that form, although the drying ground will not be in his favour. Peter Harris sets a poser by saddling both Tribal Prince and Montecassino Abbey. The former has gone well fresh in the past and will not mind the fast ground. However, he doesn't look that well treated off a mark 7lbs higher than when last successful. Montecassino Abbey is a difficult ride and needs producing late, but the Handicapper looks to have given him a chance here off the same mark as when winning on the Polytrack. Mystic Man may find the ground too fast as befits a son of Cadeaux Genereaux. Taranaki, who moved like a cripple to post last week at Southwell, ran well enough in the race itself and there is no reason why he shouldn't be competitive in this, but the vote goes to Social Contract, who was just in front of Taranaki that day. The selection did himself no favours by missing the break that day and did well to finish where he did. He can run off the same mark in this and granted a level break, he would appear the one they all have to beat.
