    Verdict

Just touched off at Nottingham earlier in the week, Mac Love looks to have a fine chance to gain compensation. He has the edge in experience and can prove too strong for Michael Bell's newcomer Promenade, who will be partnered by Kieren Fallon. Promenade, a 42,000 guinea foal, is a half-sister to the useful sprinter Sparkling Outlook. Busted Flush can be expected to improve on what he showed on his debut, but this looks a stronger race and a place is the best he can hope for, while James Given, who has his juveniles well forward, relies on Hi Darl, who is a half-sister to winning sprinters Hershebar and Lunar Mist. A March foal, she should be forward enough to do herself justice and is one to keep an eye on should the market speak in her favour.
