Not much strength in depth in this maiden, and it isn't hard to dismiss professional loser Laggan Bay, who has looked less than enthusiastic on more than one occasion. Alnaja, who has yet to see the racecourse must have shown connections something for them to keep him in training as a four-year-old, while the other newcomer of note is Sahnour, who is out of a mare that won a Listed race in France. Pershaan, a half-sister to useful middle-distance performers Persian Lightning and Height Of Fantasy will appreciate this trip and looks sure to go well, but the choice has to be Love In Seattle, who was all the rage on his debut at Doncaster, but looked badly in need of the experience. With that outing under his belt, he can show his true colours here.
