The market should provide the biggest clues in a race set to be dominated by the well-bred newcomers such as Musaayer, Unrivalled and Leicester Square who each represent powerful yards capable of readying a first-time out juvenile winner. Ed Dunlop's Musaayer makes plenty of appeal on breeding being by Derby hero Erhaab out of a winning Generous mare, who has already produced this year's Listed Masaka Stakes winner Nasij for the same yard. Mark Johnston has his team in good order at present so Leicester Square, a colt by Gone West who hails from the same family as the French 2,000 Guineas winner Vettori, is clearly an interesting prospect while John Gosden saddles Unrivalled, who is a stoutly bred son of Unfuwain and will appreciate the trip at this stage of his career. Others to note include Richard Hannon's Darn Good and the Brian Meehan-trained Gallas in an interesting contest.
