Verdict

Metal Detector was an impressive winner last time and can go in again at the expense of Barton Bog and Yassar. It was only the selection's second outing over fences when landing that Doncaster event and he was a bit novicey at some of the obstacles, however he still managed to pull clear of some reasonable horses and a follow up victory looks on the cards. Barton Bog was beaten a long way by Grattan Lodge last time but still appears to be the main threat to the selection. Yassar is the only other rival to have shown a glimmer of form and could do battle for second spot. So in conclusion it looks as though Metal Dectector just has to keep upright to collect and he is a very confident choice.
