Mac Love was a fair juvenile for Mick Channon and can come good at the first time of asking for new connections, with Sevillano and Harry Up others to consider in the feature race on the card. Mac Love was placed to score three times from 16 starts for Mick Channon and went on to hold his own in useful company for the remainder of the season. Placed on his last four starts, he was packed off to the sales after being denied a neck in Listed company at Doncaster, and should give new owner Vimal Khosla, who made his fortune in the air travel industry, a flying start if you'll pardon the pun. Epsom juvenile winner Sevillano was probably beaten by the ground when second to Chinsola at Ascot last July and played up at the start on what was to be his final outing at Windsor. He has some scope as well, along with Harry Up, who kept good company last term, turning out in the Windsor Castle, Cornwallis and Flying Childers Stakes, the latter being his curtain call of 2003. Fitness will be a key factor no doubt, but Mac Love has had plenty of work put into him and gets the call.
