In depth

Verdict

Njord remains 8lb higher than when scoring at Gowran back in May and came up short again at Galway last time. DARE TO FLARE is preferred as he was left with plenty of ground to make up in the soft going at the Curragh last week when a fast-finishing third. Andrew Slattery’s charge gets another chance in this and can confirm latest running with Der Mc in the process. Wildewood and Light Breeze have some improving to do while the latter’s stablemate Cerberus, Cherryville and Lady Arona are all worth a second glance making their handicap debuts for powerful yards.
