VIGIL looked a future star when beating Bellshill in a Leopardstown bumper and though he's won on the Flat and over hurdles subsequently he's never realised his potential. He's up against some very smart jumpers here but should have enough pace to score again. Willie Mullins runs Clondaw Warrior and Alelchi Inois, both high-class performers under NH rules though the latter is very much a chaser and the former should come out best of the pair having won five times on the Flat and three bumpers. Ancient Sands last ran on the Flat in December when beaten a neck at Dundalk though it's difficult to see him having the pace to beat the selection but Felix Mendelssohn ran very well in a tough handicap at the Curragh on just his second start for Joseph O'Brien so should get involved.
