Verdict

BATTLE OF JERICHO was only just behind subsequent winners Lethal Steps and Dawn Delivers on his debut here last month but didn't make the expected progress behind his stable companion U S Navy Flag at the Curragh. Although looking vulnerable, he's given the opportunity to prove that second run all wrong. Prep was well beaten at Bellewstown but should improve and looks better than stablemate Castrogiovanni, who has changed stables. Jim Bolger also has two entries and the newcomer Impactful, a half-brother to the 6f Group 3 winner Smash Williams, could provide the main threat though Pat Smullen's mount Man Power is very speedily bred.
