BARBADOS has only won once in 18 starts and has undoubtedly been disappointing but he's been racing at a completely different level to this and wasn't beaten far in last year's Irish St Leger. He's rated 12lb higher than next-best Shoshone Warrior, who was attempting to concede 12lb when beaten four lengths by Dalton Highway at the Curragh in June and gets 4lb here. Ebendi is the unknown of the race having won a 1m3f maiden here last July before a narrow defeat by subsequent Group 1 winner Order Of Australia over 1m4f at the Curragh in September. He hasn't run since but, if that form is taken at face value, he's obviously a major player here. Royal Illusion looks next best.
