Mazagran won easily on his debut for new connections at Limerick before finding a Galway premier handicap too tough. Baseman was conceding 13lb when beaten just under a length by MODDY PODDLE at Galway and is now 4lb better off. However, the winner battled on strongly and could have the upper hand again. Overheer is also on a hat-trick after victories at Leopardstown and Gowran. He's lightly raced for his age and a 7lb rise is unlikely to prevent another big run. Ferrybank was pulling right away over 7f at Leopardstown so the longer trip won't be a problem and he remains on a fair mark.
