Aidan O'Brien has won this twice in the last three years and has two entries. Horoscope landed a conditions' race over the track and trip before well beaten in a premier handicap at Galway and is rated 8lb below Khartoum. The latter was narrowly beaten at this level at the Curragh before finding Group 3 company too much for him at Goodwood. Saltonstall ended last year with a hat-trick and ran his best race for a while at Galway while TAZARAL easily landed a Gowran maiden before finding Ottoman Emperor just too strong at Navan. The winner is now rated 111 after landing the Group 3 Gordon Stakes at Goodwood and Dermot Weld's charge can get back on the winning trail. Masen made a successful debut at Leopardstown last July so the lack of a run may not be too much of a problem.
