In depth

Verdict

AUVERGNAT (NAP) appears to have got in lightly. He was in touch and going well when unseating his rider at Cheltenham in January before finishing a very good fourth behind Cause Of Causes in the Glenfarclas there at the Festival. He also won over the cross country course at Punchestown in February and should have few problems reverting to regulation fences. Net D'Ecosse showed his liking for fast ground when just failing to concede 12lb to Swantykay at Down Royal while Stonehall Jack has been in good form though is 10lb higher than his last winning mark. Whatareudoingtome once again showed himself to be a very strong stayer when scoring over 3m6f at Punchestown and with conditions in his favour he looks the main threat.
