The veteran BACARDYS won two Grade1's as a novice hurdler in 2017 and though nowhere near the force of old has returned to chasing in decent form and his six-lengths second to Bob Olinger at Gowran in November would be too good for these. Western Run has failed to complete in four of seven starts over fences but a neck second at Galway in July would see him in the picture. Chemical Energy, a dual bumper and hurdles winner, ran well in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham and has a chaser's pedigree but Siberian Prince has only raced on very testing ground.
