Verdict

The consistent Pale Blue Dot was engaged in a handicap here yesterday. Amirite, a winner between the flags, made a promising hurdles debut at Leopardstown and was well supported at Fairyhouse next time but a bad mistake put paid to his chances. winning point-to-pointer Clounts Pride is gradually getting his act together having been placed in a race that has worked out very well at Limerick as is Imperial Kate, who was well supported when runner-up to Mankhool at Thurles. THE WALTZER looked a certain future winner when twice runner-up at Punchestown then didn't stay 3m at Limerick. He'll be well supported again here and gets the nod though Shoot First could be a surprise packet despite a break since last July when running well at Tipperary.
