Noel Meade has won this twice in recent years and the fact that he's sending EIRLAND over fences after just four runs over hurdles suggests he's confident of win number three. The five-year-old has progressed well over timber and he can make a winning start over the bigger obstacles though this is a tough baptism. Auenschutze had some useful form over hurdles and made a fair chasing debut behind Dashing Ruby, who runs earlier, at Clonmel. Trendelenburg is an obvious threat to all. A very progressive hurdler, he fell twice in four starts between the flags and ran out when long odds-on over timber at Perth last month. With a clear round he'll take some beating but Your Busy has been a disappointment on his last two starts after showing early promise over fences. Our Victoria and Crude are others with claims in what should prove to be an informative event.
