Verdict

BRONTE BAY has been a massive disappointment over fences after a very promising start and cannot be supported with any real confidence though he's undoubtedly been racing in much better company and won't get many better chances. Flying Johnny M has failed in two of his four starts over fences but Slash And Burn would be a threat if able to repeat the form he showed when twice runner-up at Ascot in November 2008. The Tartan Army hasn't had much experience but improved when runner-up here in May and could run into a place. Bumble Beet is a decent enough hunter and point-to-pointer who didn't run badly in a similar race to this at Down Royal last month.
