Verdict

Willie Mullins has won this a couple of times in the last 10 years. Both were ridden by Patrick Mullins, who is on board the Presenting mare PRESENTING LEAH. She makes her debut under Rules but travelled strongly before narrowly failing to make a winning start in points at Oldcastle in May. Batcio has been getting closer at Punchestown and is probably the best of those with bumper experience but Rian Thomas can only improve on his third at Ballinrobe, where he made late headway. His trainer also runs newcomer Miss Aloud, who is Flat-bred and shouldn’t be short of pace. The Abbey finished alongside Batcio at Punchestown in May and then went close at Down Royal but his latest run was a disappointment.
