In depth

Verdict

Winning bumper Fortune Street looked a likely future winner over timber when narrowly beaten into third at Fairyhouse in November but failed to make the expected progress in his next two starts. BROOMFIELDS JEREMY was travelling well when falling at Roscommon and performed with credit when chasing home the exciting Malone Road here last month. That looks the best form of those with experience, though Stivers looks an interesting recruit. He arrived at Dermot Weld's yard with a big reputation after scoring six times in South America but he's failed to make an impact, albeit in Listed and Group 3 company. Spiorad Saoirse looks next best though hasn't done enough to warrant consideration.
