Spice Gardens is interesting at this level and is selected ahead of Royal Envoy and Foreland Sands. A betting move for Ganache would also be dangerous to ignore and he is one to bear in mind if the vibes are right. Foreland sands has been steadily getting the hang of things and surely has a small prize within him. This trip now seems to be ideal for him and bold bid can be expected. Royal Envoy has enjoyed himself in each of his last two visits to Kempton and should also be on the premises if he runs his usual race. However, it has to be a concern that he often fails to deliver after travelling well and he is not one of the feint hearted. Therefore, it can pay to take a chance with the much less exposed Spice Gardens, who has been cut plenty of slack by the handicapper. The William Jarvis-trained gelding would be giving weight away to the majority of the field if this were a handicap and, as he seems to be getting better with each run, this appears to be a good bit of placement for the three-year-old to do his bit for the Seb Sander cause in his push for the jockeys title.
