Night Cruise can outstay Salut Saint Cloud and High Point, with Newnham worth a small mention. Night Cruise has been in good form since coming back to the fray, having just been touched off on his return here in January before lowering the course record, which had stood for 15-years, at Lingfield next time. Providing they go fast enough round here, he should cope with his penalty, and can make a bold bid to follow up under Jim Crowley. Salut Saint Cloud bounced back to form over the course-and-distance six days ago, and shoulders a 6lb penalty. That makes his task a bit harder, but he too should make his presence felt. High Point took on good company on Turf last year, and is yet another that obviously goes well round here, having won on his last visit in December. Newnham is out to get the losses back after his defeat in amateur company at Wolverhampton, and remains well enough handicapped to take a hand as well, but on recent evidence, Night Cruise has plenty more in the locker, and can come out on top.
