Verdict

In this small field claimer MISARO is best in at the weights and is given the call but only marginally ahead of the consistent Dvinsky and the on-form Stonecrabstomorrow. The picks last run is better than the bare result suggests and he looks well worth another go at this level. His solid performances in handicaps recently offer encouragement and at the weights he's tough to ignore. Dvinsky put in another decent effort when narrowly beaten over course and distance in a handicap on Thursday. He does go well at this track and his two runs behind the on-form Tiddliwinks also offer plenty of hope of another bold bid. Stonecrabstomorrow has won three of his last five starts with the trio of successes in this grade. He put in another decent effort when narrowly denied last time but with his best efforts coming on the slower surfaces at Wolverhampton and Southwell he is just overlooked. Outside this trio the remaining pair look up against at the weights so from a shortlist of three we go for Misaro, who is best served by the framing of the race.
