Featherlight can outstay the likes of Born West, Sovereign Spirit and Teorban. Featherlight should take some stopping here after her superb effort over the course-and-distance a fortnight ago. Jamie Poulton's filly posted a good time on her first attempt at two-miles, and still appears to have plenty of improvement in her. It is hard to see what is going to stop her following up in her current mood, and she gets a confident vote. Born West is slowly but surely getting the hang of things judged on his second to Let It Be at Catterick a week ago, but he certainly does not look the most straightforward of rides. He needed to kidded and coaxed along by Adrian McCarthy, and now Seb Sanders has been enlisted to try and boot him home. Despite his breeding, there seems no doubt that he has the stamina to score over today's trip one day based on that last run. Sovereign Spirit has yet to recapture his best form, but is well enough treated, and should be followed to come good over the next few weeks, while Teorban will at least come on for his recent return to action. The one that they all have to beat though is Featherlight.
