Verdict

Dartford was a losing favourite at Lingfield last time but should do better over this extra furlong and has a fitness advantage over Peter Anders. The latter ended last season with a narrow-margin defeat at Redcar in November and should be winning sooner rather than later, while Bornholm and Red Ramesses are newcomers worth noting in the betting. So is TREND IS MY FRIEND, who cost a 100,000 dollars and whose dam is a Listed winner. Time will tell if he's good enough to take up his entry in the Derby but it suggests he's been showing something at home so Amanda Perrett's debutant gets the nod.
