Chartist, Miesko and Soopacal are the three that catch the eye in another tricky affair, with bottom weight Chartist taken to make use of the weight concession. Soopacal won over the minimum trip on his debut last year, but was highly tried thereafter and it was only on his seasonal re-appearance when returned to five furlongs that he scored again. He is nine pounds higher here but may have had his confidence lifted by that win. Miesko won twice at the end of last season, and is only five pounds higher than his latest success. He still looks well treated and can go well. He has run well previously on his only previous effort on an all-weather surface. Chartist is a son of Choisir, and he showed plenty of speed on his second start to score at Nottingham from a good sized field. He is from a winning family, hails from an in form yard, and receives weight all round. Chartist looks capable of further improvement and should enjoy the surface.
