Ecco was beaten seven lengths at Doncaster but awarded the race when the first past the post weighed in light. He races off the same mark here but others are potentially better treated including stable companion Switch Hitter, winner of a novice event here last month, and the lightly-raced Barbados Blue. Whatsupwithyou has gone up 5lb for finishing second at Cheltenham and Riggs is 9lb higher than when scoring at Uttoxeter. COEUR DE LION beat a big field in the Ascot Stakes on the Flat in June under a claimer. Max Browne has ridden the versatile seven-year-old in the past and his 10lb allowance could be a real plus today. His mount was staying on nicely at Newbury last month back over hurdles. Dream Berry and Rathhill share the same ownership and are not out of this but Runswick Bay is trying a new trip on his handicap debut against battle-hardened rivals.
