Hold The Note was tried in a visor last time at Cheltenham instead of the usual cheekpieces but it didn’t seem to have much of an impact. William H Bonney made a fair start over fences at Newbury but is the senior runner in this and may have stamina limitations, even around here. Getareason needs more but Alnadam beat a decent field, including Killer Clown, at Sandown and Mr One More was easy to back when second at Chepstow, though that form has sent out mixed messages. Nicky Henderson runs two and Nico de Boinville rides Son Of Camas but FALCO BLITZ should have learned from his fifth at Ascot and gets the nod with Champagne Well vulnerable to an improver.
