Suzy Smith's Aimigayle lost no caste in defeat on her chasing debut earlier this month when second behind Alan King's Katess at Fontwell and she has to be considered but it may be worth taking a chance with TREASURY COUNSEL, who is just preferred to Georgian King. Alan King's gelding unseated Robert Thornton when a close fourth three out on his chasing debut at Huntingdon earlier this month but he has solid claims on previous hurdles form and he has to be of interest. Ben de Haan's Nom de Guerre only won once from eight starts over hurdles but he still showed fair form, earning a rating of 120, and made an encouraging first start over fences when third behind Rightway Star at Haydock. He makes more appeal than Boomerang, who was well held on his reappearance and first start over fences at Stratford last month. Preference though is for Treasury Counsel, who showed progressive form over hurdles and ran better when last seen on his second start over fences in February. Nicky Henderson's gelding looks worth chancing in a trappy beginners' chase.
