CELTIC REBEL is a hopeful selection to win this opening handicap where Digit, who faces a tough assignment dropping back in trip and drawn widest of all while West Leake seemed to find seven furlongs beyond him at Wolverhampton last time out. Having looked the most likely winner over a furlong from home at Great Leighs last time, Celtic Rebel just flattened out in the closing stages but on that evidence, a win does not seem to be too far away. Digit belatedly got off the mark at the ninth attempt last time. Although she beat 20 rivals, only few had a realistic chance of success in that particular claimer. The return to a livelier surface seemed to be key in gaining that elusive success. She does posses plenty of early speed in her races although she will need to in order to adopt her customary prominent position. West Leake didn't appear to stay seven furlongs at Leicester. Prior to that his second behind Brierty was franked when that horse finished second off a 9lb higher mark in a hot Newmarket nursery. Madison Belle left all her previous form behind when scoring at Southwell on her penultimate start. She won so easily there that under a 6lb penalty she looks well treated although whether she will be as effective back on polytrack is open to question. Fasliyanne is stepped up to six furlongs for the first time. She has not progressed from the initial promise she showed during the early stages of the season. Kitty Allen is worth monitoring in the market beforehand returning from a break but Celtic Rebel can win it for the Simon Callaghan yard.
