    Verdict

Only Par Excellence of these has raced previously but Bill Turner's filly does not look good enough judged by her debut effort at Lingfield and preference is for Puskas, who gets the vote ahead of Godfrey Street. The last mentioned represents the stable of Richard Hannon that has a good record at this meeting but he has a pedigree that suggests that a faster surface would suit. Rod Millman's Makabul is bred for speed and a market move for him would be of interest. Brian Meehan's Tick The Box is bred to appreciate further and comes from a stable whose two-year-olds normally improve with experience, while Lionaire might also want further. The vote then goes to Puskas; the son of King's Best is a half-sister to the useful Mount Abu and if he possesses a similar amount of ability he will take plenty of beating.
