Dunaskin showed progressive form last term and is taken to make a winning return in this competitive handicap with Kew Green and Dumaran rated the main dangers. A high draw is generally considered to be an advantage over 1m2f here and the selection is well berthed in stall 15, has no problems with either trip or ground and comes here having had a recent outing over hurdles. He makes more appeal than top weight St Andrews, who may struggle from his middle draw. Willie Musson's Dumaran is better drawn than most and has had a recent pipe opener on the all-weather but the inexperience of his jockey is of concern and of more interest may be Kew Green. Paul Webber's gelding has shown improved form on sand of late and has to be respected if he can reproduce the form back on turf. Master Theo has been in similarly good form on the all-weather of late but is poorly drawn, while Momtic has yet to prove conclusively that he stays this trip. Dancing Lyra does stay but lost his way last term and a safer bet looks to be Dunaskin who gets the vote.
