Verdict

This is an easy course but 3m is probably too far for Lalor. Good Boy Bobby made a winning reappearance at Wetherby and won the Rowland Meyrick back there on Boxing Day. In between, he was just touched off in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle but a further 4lb rise has put him on a career-high mark. Cap Du Nord was well behind Five Star Getaway and Kitty's Light here over Christmas and was only fifth in this last year, though is 15lb lower. Our Power has won twice over 2m4f this season but tries a new trip along with the novice Beakstown. PHOENIX WAY is no better off at the weights than when beaten more than four lengths by Annsam at Ascot but he has since taken the notable scalp of Fanion D’Estruval at the Berkshire track and this circuit places less of an emphasis on stamina. Enrilo may be lacking a bit of confidence at present and The Big Breakaway’s recent third at Newbury came over hurdles.
