A competitive start to the day can go to Imperium, with Binnion Bay and Mystic Man two for the shortlist. The selection hasn't yet won over this trip however he has put in a string of consistent efforts and should be able to produce the best turn of foot in the closing stages as long as this isn't run at break-neck speed. His jockey is in good form at present and he looks the value call. Binnion Bay won off 54 on his penultimate run, however he struggled next time up and it may be that the handicapper now has his measure. Quantam Timer is back on a feasible mark but isn't getting any better aged ten, whilst A Teen is a course and distance winner so warrants respect. Mystic Man was a beaten favourite last time out but should run well as long as there is a decent pace as he is better over a mile, however we will return to the consistent Imperium to land this contest.
