Ansells Pride gets the confident selection, with Sun Bian and Wassfa the two who make up the shortlist. The selection has finished runner-up on his two starts to date but this maiden looks only average and he won't get a better chance to open his account than today. The stable have been doing well with a small number of horses recently and with a good draw in his favour, he should be able to take advantage. Wassfa has had enough chances however his trainer is very shrewd and he should be watched in the market for signs of confidence. However the fact that connections have not found a trip that he can win over means he is opposed today. Sun Bian should have come on for his recent reappearance when second behind a runaway odds-on shot, however he would need to improve plenty to feature here. The newcomers don't appear to be anything out of the ordinary however they should be watched for signs of confidence in the betting. Ultimately this looks a simple opportunity for Bryan Smart's Ansells Pride to open his account at the third time of asking.
