In depth

Verdict

Wynberg may be able to open his account in this contest at the expense of Far Song and Whitcombe Flyer. The Simon Callaghan trained runner reached the frame for the first time in his career when filling third spot at Wolverhampton over 6 furlongs last time. He raced keenly though and shouldn't have any problem stepping back to this trip and has sound claims racing from the same mark. Whitcombe Flyer has his own ideas about the game but cannot confidently be ruled out at this level. Far Song should be more at home in this company than in the maidens that she's contested to date. The fitting of blinkers could bring about some improvement and she's well worth a second look but Wynberg has sound claims here and wins the vote.
