Mandarin Spirit, Linda Green and Duke Of Milan look likely to play a part in this race and we side with Mandarin Spirit. A recent winner over course-and-distance, he looked notably well when scoring and could have won by further had he actually got the run of the race. Linda Green is the model of consistency and is sure to run up to her form. Duke Of Milan was numerically well-behind our selection at Kempton although only four lengths was the official margin. Adam Kirby replaces Patrick Hills in the plate. Summer Recluse invariably finds the places but struggles to convert them into victories. Ten Shun was running well on the turf at the back end of that season and makes a transition onto the artificial surfaces. Inch By Inch appears to be tried these days under hold-up tactics and she will need to be from this moderate draw. Morse was well supported before a recent visit to Wolverhampton. He does have ability although it has not been particularly evident in recent starts. Tanforan will be flying at the death and backers will be supporting the gelding in full knowledge of this style of racing. Mandarin Spirit could be capable of building upon his recent success and he is accordingly nominated.
